Our Pastor

The Reverend Mikayla Kovacik-Doepker grew up in Harrison County, Ohio where she learned the value of hard work and commitment to community. Nurtured by the church, Mikayla experienced a call to ministry while in high school. Pastor Mikayla is a 2016 graduate of The University of Mount Union, where she majored in Music and Religious Studies. In 2019, she graduated from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. While at PTS, Doepker was the recipient of the Robert A. Lee Award in Church History.

Rev. Doepker has served congregations in the Mahoning Valley, the North Coast, and the Western Reserve areas of the East Ohio Conference. She is passionate about connecting people to God, doing worship in creative ways (and spaces!), advocating for social justice, and engaging in meaningful mission. Pastor Mikayla loves working with teenagers, writing about being a pastor, and helping congregations find and engage their God-given mission!

Pastor Mikayla is married to Robert. Together they have the cutest dog in the world (her words) named Desmond. Mikayla loves a good cup of coffee, a cold Diet Coke, a stroll around Target, and traveling. The Doepker family loves to explore. If you see them out and about, say hello!
